As an employee, if you are in a role based at Virginia, you also have access to:

    • A subsidised cafeteria that offers a wide range of food at affordable prices.
    • An active recreation club which organises a variety of activities through the year. (A small fee applies.)

    • Secure bicycle storage, change rooms and showers.
    • Easy access to trains and buses.

    Financial incentives

We offer two types of incentive rewards for permanent employees:

    1. Performance pay is based on your individual job performance against your Performance Agreement (a yearly agreement developed by you and your team leader) together with Powerlink’s profit and organisational performance.
    2. Gainsharing is an incentive payment system based on the financial and organisational performance of the whole company. It’s offered to Enterprise Agreement-based employees.

Both of the incentive payments above can be salary sacrificed into superannuation or paid as cash (or a combination of the two).

Both types of payments reward employees whose efforts and performance contribute to the overall success of the company.

    Employee awards

Each year we hold our Powerlink Excellence Awards which acknowledges outstanding work results for both teams and individuals.

We also regularly enter industry competitions such as the Engineering Excellence Awards and the Annual Report Awards, and key staff are often invited to present at national and international conferences.
