Sponsorship

We sponsor a number of activities and events each year which have a clear synergy with our values and business practices, and are mutually beneficial for Powerlink and the groups we sponsor.

Our general sponsorship philosophy is to support projects that focus on community, environment and education. We also have a strong preference for supporting activities which benefit areas traversed by our transmission lines.

Some examples of the types of activities we consider supporting are:

• Community activities which aim to meet community needs and improve quality of life.
• Environmental activities such as tree plantings, environmental protection or rehabilitation projects.
• Child or student education activities like exhibitions and awards (especially those related to energy efficiency, engineering, science, and information systems).
• Industry education activities such as electricity or telecommunications conferences or activities which raise awareness and increase understanding in the areas of energy efficiency, business development and Powerlink’s business activities.
