Co-use request
If you’re planning to carry out any work on or near a transmission line easement that is likely to require our written consent, you’ll need to complete a co-use request form. Please read our Management of Co-Use Guideline prior to submitting an application.
You can fill out this form online or download a blank co-use form (PDF 205KB) and return it (completed) to:
Property Services
Powerlink
Po Box 1193
Virginia Queensland 4014
There may be many other activities that you can or cannot carry out safely, especially due to overhead clearance restrictions. If you have any doubts about what you can or can’t do, ask us first!
IDAS applications
Powerlink is an Advice Agency for the purposes of the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 and, as such, provides advice to an applicant and the Assessment Manager on certain applications for a material change of use, operational work or a reconfiguration of a lot, where the land contains an easement or the land is adjacent to a substation.
These types of applications made will be assessed against the Management of Easement Co-use Guidelines (PDF 137KB) and the draft State Transmission Code (PDF 116KB).
Please note we have certain legal rights contained in the easement document and the Electricity Act 1994.
