Transmission pricing
Powerlink is a regulated monopoly and our revenues are set by the Australian Energy Regulator (AER). Each year we publish the regulated transmission service prices for directly connected customers, in accordance with the National Electricity Rules (NER).
These prices, quoted in Australian dollars, consist of the following components:
- Prescribed Connection charge
- Prescribed TUOS (Locational) charge
- Prescribed TUOS (Non-Locational) charge, and
- Common Transmission Service charge.
Current and historical prices are available to download below.
Negotiating framework
Powerlink has developed a negotiating framework for ‘negotiable services’ (as defined in the National Electricity Rules). This Negotiating Framework for Negotiable Services (PDF 159.47 KB) must be used by Powerlink and network users when negotiating charges and terms and conditions for these types of services.
The framework was developed through consultation with relevant parties as per the requirements of clause 8.9 of the National Electricity Rules.
