Powerlink is removing a 101km section of the decommissioned, de-energised 132kV transmission line which runs between Powerlink’s Bouldercombe Substation (west of Rockhampton) and its Callide Substation (north-east of Biloela). The recent completion of various network developments in Central Queensland means this 40 year old transmission line is no longer required.
Line removal activities are under way.
