This future proposed transmission line will connect the proposed 500kV Springdale Substation north of Gatton to the existing Greenbank Substation in Logan.
The transmission line route passes south of Laidley and Ipswich. Easements for the transmission line were acquired between 1994 and 1997 following a comprehensive community consultation process.
The planned development is for a single 500kV transmission line, however between Blenheim and Greenbank the line is expected to run adjacent to an existing 275kV line for most of the alignment.
The future 500kV line is not expected to be required until around 2018/19.
