Queensland Gas Company (QGC) has requested Powerlink identify and acquire easements for a 275kV transmission line to run between the Braemar Substation and a new substation at Kumbarilla Park.
Construction commenced in mid 2011 and is expected to be completed during mid 2012. A Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), including a Final Environmental Management Plan (EMP) was prepared in August 2010. This document can be downloaded from the Environmental documents page. Powerlink received Ministerial designation for the project in June 2011.
