Helicopter patrols

Powerlink sometimes needs to undertake maintenance inspections and work on its transmission lines using low-flying helicopters.

These activities are an important part of Powerlink's safety and maintenance program.

There are currently no helicopter patrols scheduled.

Powerlink owns a property at Rocklea (off Donaldson Road) that is used as the principal training site for transmission line maintenance activity at various times throughout the year. Upcoming training at the site is scheduled for:
