Community investment in its many forms can provide individuals and organisations with tools and skills to improve quality of life for individuals, their families, groups and their wider area.

Our approach to community investment is based on, and guided by, our Community Engagement Strategy and aligns with the Queensland Government Sponsorship Policy.

Our goal is to create sustainable communities, assist in economic development, enhance community and social capacity, build resilience and create a positive legacy.

Our community small grants program round one was open 4 May - 31 May 2022 to community groups in the Western Downs and South Burnett local government areas.

Groups interested in applying for funding have the opportunity to share in $12,500 (up to a maximum of $1,500 excluding GST per initiative) to help make valuable community projects a reality for these communities.

This round accepted applications for projects to be undertaken within Queensland’s Western Downs and South Burnett local government areas through the online portal.
