Communities of Practice

Powerlink's Diversity and Inclusion Communities of Practice are an important way to raise awareness and promote diversity and inclusion at Powerlink. They are open for everyone to join. We are proud to have four diversity and inclusion Communities of Practice:

  • Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Governance Group
  • Inclusive Energy
  • PRIDE in Power

Each Community of Practice is an employee-led action group, with senior leader sponsorship. 

We are also a veteran friendly employer partnering with RSL Queensland.

Powerlink has been included in the Welcome Here Directory as a business or service that actively welcomes and includes LGBTQ people. 

Started by Welcome Here Project, the Directory lists 4000+ members across Australia who proudly display their Rainbow Sticker and Charter and celebrate LGBTQ diversity.

NAWIC

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) welcomes women in construction and their allies.

NAWIC members come together in community forums to expand personal and business networks, maintain awareness of industry developments, improve skills and knowledge, and make a contribution to other women in the construction industry.
