Since forming in 2011, the Electrically Based Engineering Student Society (EBESS) has expanded to a community of over 850 students within the University of Queensland representing students from the following engineering disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electrical and Biomedical Engineering
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
As a major sponsor, Powerlink supports EBESS through professional networking opportunities, career fairs and social events to nurture student industry and academic potential.
This includes participation in the annual Engineering Undergraduate Society Careers Fair, as well as excursions and education sessions designed to support students understanding of the power industry.
