Transmission Annual Planning Report 2021
Transmission Annual Planning Report 2021The Transmission Annual Planning Report (TAPR) is a technical document aimed at people who are familiar with the electricity industry. This report is an important part of our annual planning to guide the energy transformation and ensure we continue to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective transmission services to our customers. In 2021, we are also introducing a geographical interactive mapping tool to complement the information contained in the TAPR templates. This will provide perspective and context on potential network developments over the 10-year outlook period.
Regular targeted patrols and maintenance activities are critical to ensuring a safe and reliable supply of high voltage electricity to five million Queenslanders. Depending on the location inspections can be carried out from the ground using 4WDs, at heights using drones or elevated work platforms (EWPs) and from the air via helicopters.
