As part of an industry support partnership with the Australian Power Institute, we sponsor University of Queensland’s Women in Engineering program to increase inclusion and diversity in power engineering.
In coordination with API, we have partnered with UQ since the WiE program’s inception in 2012. It’s exciting to know we have played a part in increasing the participation of women in engineering from 18.8% to 27.8%.
Throughout the partnership our people have been involved in a number of networking and mentoring programs tailored to supporting women engineering students in achieving their goals.
We have a strong representation at WiE events - including people of all genders – and ongoing support of this program strongly aligns with our diversity and inclusion targets, as well as our focus on supporting education initiatives.
