Overview
Powerlink is undertaking specialised maintenance work on the existing 132kV line from Barron Gorge to Kamerunga.
The line has been in service for more than 50 years and these works are essential to the ongoing safe, reliable and cost effective supply of electricity to Far North Queensland. Project works involve delivering targeted maintenance along this line.
Status
Inspection and visual assessment work was completed in late 2018. On-ground maintenance activities were completed in early 2020.
