Overview
Powerlink was engaged by Pacific Hydro to connect the Haughton Solar Farm to the transmission network. The 1,200 hectare solar farm is located about 60 kilometres south of Townsville. The solar farm will be delivered progressively, with stage one involving connection of 100MW in generation to Powerlink’s transmission network via a new adjacent 275kV substation.
Status
Powerlink works were completed in late 2018.
