Mt Emerald Wind Farm Connection Project

Overview

Powerlink was engaged by Ratch-Australia Corporation (Ratch) to build a dedicated 275kV substation for Mt Emerald Wind Farm, near Mareeba.

Mt Emerald Wind Farm will connect to the transmission grid via Powerlink’s existing Woree to Chalumbin transmission line. Powerlink will maintain the 275kV substation for the life of the 25 year power connection agreement.

Status

Powerlink works were completed in late 2018.
