ClampStar installations carried out in recent months represent a saving compared to traditional repair.
The ClampStar device is fitted from a helicopter and is a permanent repair to damaged optical ground wire (OPGW) where the outer strands have been broken by lightning.
The latest repairs were completed on four feeders in the southern region and brings the total number of ClampStar installs to six.
