Powerlink hosted the annual Demand and Energy Forecasting Forum for Queensland’s Transmission Network in Brisbane.
Around 30 external attendees, representing industry, consumers and government, gained a better understanding of the varying influences on future demand and energy needs and took part in workshop discussions on a range of topics.
Discussion points included the impacts of new technology on future network demand and energy forecasts, how the growth of new technology will be impacted by future economic conditions, and the best approach for Powerlink to start to develop load forecasting themes for the 2017 Transmission Annual Planning Report.
