It was back to school recently for our Health, Safety and Environment team who visited Geebung and Nashville state primary schools for a spot of gardening in celebration of World Environment Day.

They joined forces with students from each school to weed garden beds, mulch and plant new trees.

Senior Environmental Advisor, Ariane, said it was a fantastic opportunity to join in with and support the kids’ existing gardening projects and hear their thoughts about the environment.

“It’s not often we get to head out of the office on a project like this so it was really rewarding to meet the kids and get our hands dirty,” said Ariane.

“We re-established an orchard and encouraged planting of Australian natives and hope to reinvigorate their gardening projects.”
