Our Finance and Governance Division has done a great job of helping spread some Christmas cheer by holding a toy and book drive which saw more than 70 gifts donated to The Smith Family.
A charity spokesperson said calls for assistance from disadvantaged families have jumped by 49% this year and the gifts will be distributed across Queensland to support them.
One of the Powerlink appeal organisers praised the generosity of the Finance and Governance team.
“It's a good feeling being able to give something like this," the Workplace Services Manager said as team members packed the toys and books off to The Smith Family collection centre.
“Hopefully it'll make a child's Christmas Day just a little bit happy."
