Our network is safely and reliably supplying customers in Queensland and supporting our network counterparts in NSW in today’s heatwave conditions.
To date, Powerlink has not experienced any issues on the transmission network in this week’s hot weather. Our network is built to allow for hot conditions, particularly around this time of year.
We will continue closely monitoring the network during the high temperature conditions across the state in coming days.
If there is any impact to the transmission network, we have experienced people and tested procedures to ensure we can respond to any potential incident as safely and quickly as possible.
