We have partnered with the Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C) on a range of initiatives over ten years and achieved a number of positive environmental outcomes in the Bulimba Creek catchment.

Projects include:

  • Tree planting at St Laurence’s College in a vital biodiversity corridor in Runcorn with the college students, Powerlink and B4C. It included guest lectures from Powerlink and B4C about the importance of conservation and looking after waterways.

  • Ongoing support from Powerlink team members at the Gibson Island Rehabilitation Project at Murarrie, as well as donating a large amount of mulch to the site.

  • Establishing and repairing glider nest boxes under Powerlink transmission lines to enhance the fauna corridor.

  • Ensuring the B4C’s Sustainability Centre is a valuable environmental and community resource.

  • Working together on a number of sites along Bulimba Creek to protect and enhance the local environment.
