We have partnered with the Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C) on a range of initiatives over ten years and achieved a number of positive environmental outcomes in the Bulimba Creek catchment.
Projects include:
Tree planting at St Laurence’s College in a vital biodiversity corridor in Runcorn with the college students, Powerlink and B4C. It included guest lectures from Powerlink and B4C about the importance of conservation and looking after waterways.
Ongoing support from Powerlink team members at the Gibson Island Rehabilitation Project at Murarrie, as well as donating a large amount of mulch to the site.
Establishing and repairing glider nest boxes under Powerlink transmission lines to enhance the fauna corridor.
Ensuring the B4C’s Sustainability Centre is a valuable environmental and community resource.
Working together on a number of sites along Bulimba Creek to protect and enhance the local environment.
