Our purpose is to connect Queensland to a world-class energy future. In 2025/26 we:

Delivering reliable and affordable energy for Queenslanders

• Delivered key aspects of the Queensland Energy Roadmap by progressing approvals and contract negotiations to commence construction of our Gladstone Project.
• Progressed 113 connection applications and completed seven network connections, delivering more than 2,100 megawatts (MW) of new generation and storage to Queensland’s power system.  
• Improved regulated network projects performance with on‐cost delivery up 7% and on‐time delivery up 12% in FY25/26. These results reflect Powerlink’s continuous focus on project planning, cost monitoring, and resource prioritisation.  
• Signed an agreement with Hitachi Energy to supply and install four synchronous condensers in Central Queensland to strengthen the electricity transmission network.
• Ensured continuity of CopperString through the transition of the project to Queensland Investment Corporation (QIC).
• Undertook a trial to use real‐time weather data to boost the capacity of line transfers by up to 40%.
• Launched the Infrastructure Development Panel to reliably deliver our pipeline of transmission projects.

Engaging with community and customers

• Delivered $375,000 in community grants to 95 initiatives and activities across 18 Local Government Areas to support resilience, safety and wellbeing in communities.
• Executed our first Relationship Agreement with Traditional Owners in Central Queensland, establishing a long‐term relationship aligned with Powerlink’s regional delivery programs.
• Held the inaugural Central Queensland Transmission Network Forum in Gladstone with more than 130 attendees.
• Achieved a record attendance of more than 700 people at our Transmission Network Forum in Brisbane.  

Working as one team

• Celebrated 30 years of Powerlink delivering transmission services for Queenslanders.
• Won the 2025 Australian HR Award for Best Graduate Program.
• Reached more than 5,000 senior students through our School Roadshow across Queensland to build our early career pipeline as well as our contribution to the industry’s future pipeline.
• Welcomed 21 new apprentices in the 2025 intake which lifted the overall apprentice cohort to 86.
