Overview
Gladstone is a critical region for Powerlink and the future energy needs of Queensland’s power system. We are committed to maintaining a permanent presence in the region and growing our employee base and capabilities, including through apprenticeships.
This project involves the construction of the Gladstone Hub. This facility will support a central region workforce that contributes to the delivery of Queensland’s renewable energy transition.
The proposed development on the subject site will comprise the following elements:
- Operational areas including workshop, testing and investigating
- A contemporary office facility
- Landscaped areas
- Hardstand
- Vehicle wash-down facility
- Car parking.
Powerlink expects construction to commence in early 2026.
