Overview
Mt England Substation connects CleanCo’s Wivenhoe Pumped Hydro Power Station to the electricity grid and transfers energy from Tarong Power Station into the greater Brisbane transmission network via 275kV feeders.
Its secondary systems are nearing the end of their technical service life and require replacement.
Status
Secondary systems works will commence in Q1 2027, with construction scheduled to start in Q2 2027 and commissioning completed by Q4 2027, weather permitting.
