On Monday, April14, Powerlink sent two emails to 731 suppliers using the 'To' field instead of 'BCC', mistakenly sharing the email addresses of the recipients.

This human error resulted in the sharing of personal information.

Powerlink took immediate action and notified the affected suppliers once the error was identified.

No sensitive information was disclosed, and this incident is not considered as a notifiable data breach under the Notifiable Data Breach Scheme.

Powerlink apologises for the email and has implemented additional controls to ensure a similar incident does not happen in future.
