This public webinar is an opportunity to gain a more detailed understanding about the energy transformation from Powerlink’s Chief Executive Paul Simshauser as he outlines the opportunities and challenges we face as a transmission business and our potential response.

Held annually, our 2021 forum welcomed for the first time both in person and virtual attendees. 

The forum included a welcome from Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen and Minister for Public Works and Procurement the Hon. Mick de Brenni MP.

Our Chief Executive Paul Simshauser delivered a 'State of the Network' address and we also shared insights into our 2023-27 Revenue Proposal and 2021 Transmission Annual Planning Report.

Insights into key energy industry challenges and opportunities including an update on longer term power system planning in Queensland, grid-level storage, minimum demand and also an update on Powerlink’s 2023-27 Revenue Proposal process. 

Engaging with stakeholders to discuss the key findings of the 2020 Transmission Annual Planning Report (TAPR) and provide stakeholders with an opportunity to ask questions.

Held annually, our 2020 forum features a State of the Network address from our Chief Executive Paul Simshauser as well as presentations on Powerlink’s 2023-27 Revenue Determination process and a session on Power System Planning including a Q&A opportunity with a panel of experts.

In partnership with TransGrid, we held a webinar in October 2019 to provide an overview of the preferred option in the Project Assessment Draft Report, and seek feedback from stakeholders.

Held annually, Powerlink presents its Transmission Annual Planning Report to industry stakeholders, followed by interactive breakout sessions focused on key industry topics.

We are committed to facilitating meaningful engagement to guide development of our Revenue Proposal for the 2023-2027 regulatory period. As part of this commitment, in May 2019 we held an interactive workshop with our customers and stakeholders to co-design our engagement approach.
